This document walks through the process of copying your Blackboard Learn and/or Blackboard Ultra course from one term to the next. This is a simple process that requires only a few steps. To get started, you should have your Blackboard course for the new semester as well as the name of the course you want to copy from the previous term.
Blackboard Learn
Step 1.
Please navigate into your former course (the course that already has your course materials built within it).
Step 2.
In the Control Panel, expand the Packages & Utilities section and click Course Copy:

Click the option: Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course
Step 4.
In the Destination Course ID box click the Browse button to view a list of your courses:
Step 5.
From the popup window that appears, select the appropriate course ID from the list of your courses and click Submit. The course ID will populate in the Destination Course ID Box.
Step 6.
Select the course materials that you want to copy over to the existing course. We recommend Select All.
Step 7.
In the File Attachments section, select Copy links and copies of the content.
Important Note: Do NOT select Include Enrollments in the Copy. Leave the below bow unchecked:
Step 8.
Click Submit.
Renew your Link for students to access course materials
Once your course content has been successfully copied, your next step is to establish your new Willo course link with the students in your new term.
Navigate to Content Modules and click on the Publisher Course Link or eBook Link that was copied over.
You will be directed to the Initialize Course. Select the Academic Term from the drop down menu and click Submit.
If you are using Publisher Courseware - be sure to finish activating your publisher content by signing in to their portal and completing the pairing process.
Blackboard Ultra
Step 1.
Please navigate into your upcoming Blackboard course (the course that has no content included within it).
Step 2.
On your course homepage, click the three dot menu next to the search option and click Copy Items from the dropdown menu.
Step 3.
A list of your courses will appear. If the course you’re looking for isn’t on the first page, use the arrows to navigate or use the search bar. You can also search for Organizations by selecting the Organizations tab.
Click to place a checkbox next to the name of the course to do a full course copy:
Step 4.
Select Start Copy.
Step 5.
When the copy is complete, please refresh your Blackboard course to see that your course materials have been copied successfully into your new term course.
Renew your Link for students to access course materials
Once your course content has been successfully copied, your next step is to establish your new Willo course link with the students in your new term.
Navigate to Content Modules and click on the Publisher Course Link or eBook Link that was copied over.
You will be directed to the Initialize Course. Select the Academic Term from the drop down menu and click Submit.
If you are using Publisher Courseware - be sure to finish activating your publisher content by signing in to their portal and completing the pairing process.
