This document walks through the process of importing export package (.zip) or Common Cartridge (.imscc) file(s) within your Blackboard Learn and/or Blackboard Ultra courses.
Blackboard Learn
Step 1.
Navigate into the Blackboard course that you would like to import course content within.
Step 2.
In your Blackboard course click into the left navigation menu so that you can click on the (1) Control Panel. Next, click (2) Packages and Utilities to expand its menu and, finally, click (3) Import Package / View Logs:
Step 3.
Click Import Package on the top left:
Step 4.
Under Select a Package click Browse Local Files and navigate to your .imscc file to select it.
Step 5.
Under Select Course Materials choose the items you want to include in the copy, making sure that Content is selected. Click Submit.
Step 6.
After the import completes, please refresh your Blackboard course. You'll locate the content of the file in a new content area (menu item) titled
Blackboard Ultra
Step 1.
Navigate into the Blackboard course that you would like to import the course content within.
Step 2.
On your course homepage, click the three dot menu next to the search option and click Import Content from the dropdown menu.
Step 3.
Click Import Course Content:
Step 4.
Click the file that you'd like to import within your course to begin the import:
Step 5.
After the import completes, please refresh your Blackboard course. Please locate the materials in a newly created folder in your course. The folder will be automatically titled (which will share the same title as the file imported into your course).
