These instructions are how to set up courses in Moodle for Macmillan Learning products Achieve and FlipIt Physics
Please note that this basic LTI connection is distinguished from Macmillan Learning's deep integration for Achieve, iClicker Cloud, LaunchPad, and Sapling Learning. Please contact your Macmillan Learning customer support contact for more information on these integrations

> Enter your Moodle course
> Select “Turn editing on”
> In the course content module where you want the link to be, click the “Add an activity or resource” link 
> Choose "External tool" and click "Add"
> Type in an "Activity name" that should be easy for students to recognize
> Click the + next to the "Preconfigured tool" field

> This will take you to the “External tool configuration” page
> Type in the “Tool name”, using something recognizable to you such as FlipIt or Achieve
> Type in “gateway.mnv-tech.com” for the “Tool URL”
> Enter the “Consumer Key” and “Shared Secret” provided by Macmillan Learning customer support

> In the “Privacy” section, check the box for “Force SSL”
> Click the “Save Changes”

> You will return to the  “Adding a new External tool” page
> Click “Show more...”
> Confirm that the “Preconfigured tool” selected is the one you just configured on the “External tool configuration” page 
> For “Secure Tool URL”, use the URL provided by your Macmillan Learning customer support contact
> To ensure the correct URL, note the proper format below, where XXXXXX is the unique ID for your course
> Achieve - https://gateway.mnv-tech.com/v1/launch/LTI11/Achieve/Launch?courseid=XXXXXX&tooltype=course
> FlipIt Physics - https://gateway.mnv-tech.com/v1/launch/LTI11/FlipIt/Launch?courseid=XXXXXX
> For “Launch container”, select “New window”
> Leave “Tool URL”, “Consumer key”, “Shared secret”, “Custom parameters”, “Icon URL”, and “Secure Icon URL” all blank

> Click to expand the “Privacy” section. Make sure all three of the boxes in this section are checked
> Click “Save and return to course”
