These instructions are how to set up courses in Brightspace for Macmillan Learning products Achieve and FlipIt Physics
Please note that this basic LTI connection is distinguished from Macmillan Learning's deep integration for Achieve, i Clicker Cloud, Launch Pad, and Sapling Learning. Please contact your Macmillan Learning customer support contact for more information on these integrations
> Enter your Brightspace course
> Click on “Course Admin”
> Click "External Learning Tools"
> On the "Manage Tool Providers" tab, click on "New Tool Provider" or proceed to applying the following settings
> For “Launch Point”, use “gateway.mnv-tech.com”
> For “Version”, select “1.1”. Do not use Inherit Global (1.1)
> For “OAuth Signature Method”, select “HMAC-SHA1”
> Check “Allow users to use this tool provider”
> Click “Save”
> On the "Manage External Learning Tool Links" tab click on "New Link"
> Add link details
> “Title” should be selected for easy student recognition
> Use the Launch URL provided by your Macmillan Learning customer support contact
> To ensure the correct URL, note the proper format below, where XXXXXX is the unique ID for your course
> Achieve - https://gateway.mnv-tech.com/v1/launch/LTI11/Achieve/Launch?courseid=XXXXXX&tooltype=course
> FlipIt Physics - https://gateway.mnv-tech.com/v1/launch/LTI11/FlipIt/Launch?courseid=XXXXXX
> Check “Allow users to view this link”
> Check “Sign messages with key/secret with” and click the radio button next to “Link key/secret”
> Enter the “Key” and “Secret” provided by Macmillan Learning customer support
> Under “Security Settings”, select “Use link security settings” and check all boxes
> Check the box to “Make link available to Current Org Unit”
> Click “Save and Close”
> Click on "Content" in the header
> Add activity
> In the desired portion of your course, choose “Add Existing Activities > External Learning Tools”
> Click on the name of the tool you created
> In the dropdown, select “Edit Properties In-place” and check the box to “Open as External Resource” or “Open in a new window”
